With so many varieties and the ease of planting and growing, sunflowers are a great way to start a flower farm or even hobby garden. They are also very heat tolerant. I enjoy ‘lemonade’ with its fluffy yellow heads and green centers as well as the Pro Cut varieties, with Pro Cut plum being my favorite. Since most of these produce a single flower and then are finished, plant in succession to ensure sunflowers all summer long.
