Cockscomb Celosia

The perfect conversation starter, cockscomb is one of the most intriguing flowers in the garden. With wavy, velvet, brightly colored crests, they are best harvested while young and small.

The longer they sit in the field, the larger and heavier they become and take on a brainy or sea coral look. (My daughter used cockscomb to build a 3D model of a brain for a science project!). Very easy to grow from direct seeding and very easy to dry and collect seed. A must grow if you have kids around!
